An article was published on April 28, 2022 in Nordic Monitor, which operates in Sweden and is famous for its activity aimed against Turkiye. In the article written by fugitive FETO member Abdullah Bozkurt, it was claimed that the officials in the Turkish Armed Forces were labeled according to their religion and minority status. Before addressing these allegations, it is useful to remember other slanders against Turkiye by the Nordic Monitor. Levent Kenez, one of the authors of the website whose efforts are directed towards defaming Turkiye, also published an article in the past months. Kenez, in his article published on March 14, tried to include Turkiye in the framework of the Russia-Ukraine war, and moreover, he tried to stir things up with the allegation that Turkiye was among the parties to the war. American analyst Michael Doran criticized the Nordic Monitor with harsh words, which he said was unreliable and made propaganda for the organization.

Faktyoxla Lab. has investigated why the Nordic Monitor website broadcasts against Turkiye and how these broadcasts are used by Turkish enemies.

First of all, it is necessary to give some information about the Nordic Monitor website and Abdullah Bozkurt, who generally makes news against Turkiye on the website. The Nordic Monitor news website is affiliated with a front Non-Governmental Organization called the Nordic Research Monitoring Network, established by FETO members in Sweden. In the 'who we are' section at its website, the Nordic Monitor is managed by a group of professionals consisting of senior journalists, security experts and researchers. The directors consist of three FETO fugitives named Abdullah Bozkurt, Levent Kenez and Murat Cetiner.

According to the news of Daily Sabah, Bozkurt still receives logistical support from the Swedish authorities on many issues. This support was also confirmed by Gulsen Cigel, who has been living in Sweden for a while and is head of the Union of European Turkish Democrats' (UETD) women's branches. Stating that Bozkurt opened a think tank called the Stockholm Freedom Center in Sweden, Cigel said, “He is trying to convince the Swedish public that FETO is not responsible for the bloody coup on July 15, with fake news. The Swedes were behind this institution. They're making fun of us.” Cigel also added, “I know that Abdullah Bozkurt escaped from Turkiye and came to Sweden.”

Currently, many fake and manipulative documents and information used by FETO prosecutors and police chiefs in conspiracy cases are published on Bozkurt's Swedish websites.

In fact, the purpose of producing this fake news is neither journalistic activities nor propaganda on behalf of terrorists. With this, Bozkurt is trying to produce new arguments for some countries that are waging a hybrid and asymmetrical war against terrorist organizations such as PKK, DHKP-C and DAESH and against Turkiye's policies in the name of FETO.

For this reason, Bozkurt's articles fabricated with false information and forged documents aim to criminalize Turkiye's security institutions, keep Turkiye's alleged support for ISIS on the agenda, and marginalize Turkiye's regional cooperation with America and Russia, as well as Middle East and Southern countries.

For example, Bozkurt used some confidential information belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces obtained from the indictments prepared by FETO member prosecutors and submitted to the courts in 2016-2017 in order to support the allegations made in his articles. It goes without saying that the source of these fabricated articles is FETO lawyers.

Taha Dagli from Haber7 website also touched upon a similar issue and pointed out that Turkiye's rapprochement with Libya's national consensus administration and its legitimate leader, Fayez Sarraj, disturbed FETO-affiliated publications such as Nordic Monitor. According to Dagli, for this reason, since last year, the terrorist organization has started to argue in its publications and social media posts that the Sarraj government is in line with the Muslim Brotherhood. Interestingly, Levent Kenez, one of the other administrators whose names are on the website, was given a speech against Turkiye at the United Nations Geneva Office last year, together with Abdullah Bozkurt. The moderator of the panel was Eric Sottas, a known anti-Turkiye sympathizer of the PKK. (Source)

He writes about Murat Cetiner in his introduction on the website that he works as a security expert for the United Nations and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). Cetiner is one of the fugitives who worked in the police force for 18 years, was stripped of his ranks, and has an arrest warrant for membership in a terrorist organization. (Source)

The racist leader Geert Wilders, the head of the Party for Freedom, who came to the fore with his anti-Islam, anti-Turkiye and anti-immigrant expressions and actions in the Netherlands, once again insulted Erdogan and cited the Nordic Monitor as a source.

Bozkurt writes an article titled “Ambassadors are no longer safe in Turkiye,” three days before the assassination of Russian Ambassador Karlov. In Abdullah Bozkurt’s article published on the organization's website 'turkishminute.com' on December 16, he seems to know that there will be an attack on the Russian Ambassador. (Source) In the INVESTIGATION conducted later, it was determined that the police officer Mevlut Mert Altintas, who carried out the assassination, was staying at the house of the fugitive FETO member Abdullah Bozkurt. (Source)

In 2017, Bozkurt published an article titled "Chinese Ambassador to Turkiye may be at risk" on the organization's Turkish Minute website, this time targeting Yu Hongyang, China's ambassador to Ankara at that time. In his article, Bozkurt suggested that the Chinese Ambassador take "additional security measures."

A 'news article' published on the anti-Turkiye manipulation website Nordic Monitor was “Turkiye is planning an operation against Armenia.” This claim, which has no basis, was given in the headline on the website of Agos, and “Does Turkey have an 'operation plan' for Armenia?” title was dropped.

In a news article published on the FETO-linked Nordic Monitor website, by Abdullah Bozkurt, it was claimed that Turkiye was planning a military operation against Armenia.

In the "news", which has no basis, it was claimed that there was a "military operation against Armenia" plan, code-named ALTAY in the documents of the Turkish Armed Forces General Staff.

The headline of this news on the website of the newspaper Agos, which is published in Turkish and Armenian, drew a reaction. Considering that journalist Nedim Sener revealed that FETO had a hand in the murder of Hrant Dink, it was meaningful that FETO's manipulation was included in Agos, where Dink was the founding Editor-in-Chief.

The following statements were included in the news of Agos:

"Author Abdullah Bozkurt stated that the plan is still valid, as can be understood from the documents belonging to the General Staff and the internal memos. It was stated that some of the pages were lost.

The news attracted a lot of attention in Armenia. Speaking to Armenpress News Agency, Nordic Monitor writer Abdullah Bozkurt said that he believes the documents he published are real. The documents in the news attracted the attention of other countries and were reflected in the press.

The Greek press evaluated the news as "sensational". A Greek newspaper wrote: "Because of these documents, some circles in Greece think that Armenia will be the target of Turkiye after Syria."

As can be seen, the terrorists at the head of the Nordic Monitor website, with the logistical support they receive from the Swedish state, behave as if they are in the guesthouse of terrorist groups in this country, and include defamatory news against Turkiye in their publications.

The Swedish authorities, on the other hand, are not willing to take measures against FETO, claiming that "FETO is not recognized as a terrorist organization by the European Union (EU)."

The facts don’t change, Abdullah Bozkurt and his team are FETO fugitives and they are busy defaming Turkiye with false news they write day by day. Of course, the Turkish state will retain the right to veto Sweden’s NATO membership process.
